The Last Six Months

Life has been a bit crazy around here the last few months.  We have managed to take a few pictures, thanks to camera phones!  So here's a glimpse of the last six months.

Ben and Katie have long waited for a visit from the tooth fairy.  Ben has had two visits, while Katie has had four. 

At this point, Mikey still didn't have any teeth, but he is the proud owner of a faux hawk!

Katie had her big dance recital in May.  There are moments when this baby doesn't have a shy bones in her body.  This was one of them.  She was awesome and really rocked her outfit (as you can see).

Benjamin and his flag football team were the Division Champions this past season.  The coach who presented the awards said Ben was a great asset in offense and defense!

He also earned 2nd place among 2nd-6th graders in a school reading program.  Students are to read certain books that are allotted a point value depending on reading level.  Second graders were asked to earn 32 points.  Ben earned 563.

Mikey has learned he has feet and loves them.

We took him to the pool for the first time.  He was very concerned of the happenings around him.

This is our beloved bus driver, Ms. Lane.  She passes candy out on holiday's and started passing candy out the week before school let out.  All these kiddos are from our stop.  Shows you just how many children are our neighbors.  Keep in mind these are only school age kiddos.  The "pre-schoolers" outnumber these kiddos by almost double!  We love our cul de sac!!

Lastly, our first "Family of 5" photos!  Our friends, Gina, is starting up her photography business and took our photos as practice.

We are now a family of 5.  Benjamin, Katie and Mikey are such wonderful blessings.  Benjamin is sure to keep us on track and on our toes.  While Katie makes it fun and light.  Meanwhile, Mikey smiles his way though it all.  My plan is to be better about sharing pictures of our adventures.  Here are a few to get started.  If you would like any of these photos, lets me know and I will e-mail them to you.  Lots of love to you all!!  ~Rubi

Our Second Baby Boy

God blessed us with our Benjamin about 7 years ago and our Katie about 5 years ago. For the last 5 years we had thought that two kiddos was it for us. Until about 6 months ago, I came home and said to Brian, "Maybe one more". A month later, God granted us another miracle.

Brian and I have been very blessed in that we don't have to wait too long before we see a positive on a pregnancy test. Even so, I look at my babies and see miracles in each of them. Three times we have chosen to have a baby and we have brought two beautiful kiddos home and with God's continuing help, we will bring our new baby boy home in November.
